Getting Around the Island

HomeTravel and Rental ResourcesGetting Around the Island

Anna Maria Island is located at the northern end of the island, and Holmes Beach is more in the central area of the island and Bradenton Beach is at the south end of the island. Each is small enough to explore by foot or bike. There are several rental companies across the island for renting bicycles, kayaks, paddleboards and more. If your rental is on the island, many will deliver to your vacation home. Our area does have Uber and Lyft as well!

Shuttle services

The island benefits from a free shuttle service, known locally as the trolley. The Shuttle does a continual loop of the island daily, runs from 6am – 10:30pm every 20 minutes. The shuttle loops from Anna Maria City Pier in the north, to Coquina Beach in the south. Shuttle stops are indicated by a green sign with a picture of a trolley on it.
