Location
Lake O' Woods sits on a private, gated acre in a quiet Bradenton neighborhood, with Anna Maria Island's Gulf beaches about 20 minutes away — Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach, and Bean Point among them, plus the lifeguarded, family-friendly Coquina Beach 18 minutes out. Cortez Fishing Village, one of Florida's last working fishing villages, is 15 minutes away, and Robinson Preserve's kayak launches and sunrise trails are just 10 minutes out. Riverwalk Bradenton and Main Street Bradenton's breweries and shops are both about 8 minutes away, and Sarasota and Siesta Key are roughly 35 minutes south. Golfers have 15+ courses within 20 minutes, on top of the property's own putting green.

Property & Access
The home sits on over an acre with direct lake frontage and lake views from the living room and lakeside patio. Self-check-in is handled through a smart lock, with your door code sent before arrival — no key pickup required. Parking is available for up to 8 vehicles inside the gated property, including trucks, large SUVs, RVs, boats, and trailers (trailer space is limited when one is present); parking is only available inside the gate, not on the street. The garage is accessible to guests as well.

Tech & Entertainment
Every bedroom and the game room have their own Smart TV, plus a TV in the living room, and whole property Wi-Fi runs at a fast 1 Gbps. The game room is the heart of the entertainment here, with a pool table and two arcade games (Pac-Man and Golden Tee Golf), and a dedicated workspace is available if anyone needs to log on.

Kitchen & Comfort
The kitchen is outfitted with granite countertops and stainless appliances, a Keurig and drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, crock pot, and tea kettle, with island seating for 3 and a dining table for 8 — plus a second fridge in the garage for overflow. Hardwood floors and coastal decor run throughout, and a sunroom with wicker rockers offers a quiet spot for slow mornings. High-quality towels and linens are provided, a washer and dryer are available in the unit, and a pack 'n play and highchair are on hand for the youngest guests.

"It’s a great place to stay with a large group. Plenty of space and a lot to do. We vacationed here with our family which included our grandchildren. They enjoyed all of the amenities, especially the pool table and hot tub. The kitchen is well stocked, and there were plenty of beach towels, games and puzzles, beach chairs, etc. There were some issues, but management responded quickly and resolved them quickly.

"We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The outdoor space was truly the highlight—peaceful, private, and beautifully maintained. The backyard overlooks a lovely pond and features a great pool, hot tub, putting green, and cornhole setup, which made it feel like a relaxing retreat. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the setting. Inside, the home is a bit older, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, it was a very nice experience, and we would definitely recommend it to others looking for a relaxing getaway with fantastic outdoor amenities.

"Anchor Down came as advertised and then some. All aspects of the stay were great, but I really loved the pool and the nearby lake. "The house is very roomy and clean. It has a large pool deep enough to accommodate virtually any needs. There is also a pool table and a choice of board games in case if one ever gets tired of seating on the patio or in a bar section. The property is dog-friendly and is fensed to offer privacy and security. Beaches are only 20 min away and are of a great quality. The property manager (Kristi) answered all our questions in a matter of seconds. We had a great time there. Thanks for having us!

"We stayed here for 7 days (Lake O Woods) Bradenton Florida. The hospitality From Kristi and her team was VIP like. From check in to check out... This place has all we needed to enjoy this family vacation. The covered pool, the pool table, the covered patio with furniture, the proximity to the beach, the 3 car garage with extra refrigerator, the 2 bedrooms with king size beds. The bar on the covered patio with fridge, the bathroom poolside, the laundryroom, the pool toys, the grill, the space, the smart TVs throughout including on the patio, the garage door openers and gate openers programed for the stay, the yard space, the board games the house had.... This place is a must stay I am so glad we found this spot. For the price we paid... I can't have asked for a more pleasant home for our Vacation. It was close to most everything we needed. Walmart included!!! 😆 When we return to this area...this will be our house if not booked for the the time we come to visit. Because oh my I can't think of a better place to be. The place was quiet and so spacious for all my family that was here. Appliances all in working order and fairly new! Thank you anchor down for the cleaning and prepping for our stay. "Location! It was such a great location to stores and the beach. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Being able to use the pool everyday was a great way to beat the heat and also the hustle and bustle of the beach! Communication is so easy with the company. I felt like any problems that could have happened would have been handled quickly. I didn’t have any issues though. The house is huge! It was only my husband and I but for the cost we had everything privately instead of staying at a hotel. Definitely worth the price. If back in Florida I would definitely book again. Thank you for such a great place to call “home” for a few days.

Amazing Quiet Retreat

"The pictures of this home, like many other reviews state does it no justice! Wow, talk about beautiful! My family and I came down from MD for a family wedding and were contemplating a move to FL after staying here. Everything you need was in the home including ice. The rooms were large and clean. Although my boys complained about the size of the TV in their room, the living room monster made up for it. The host was very responsive and provided clear directions for check in and checkout. The pool, although, not heated, was perfect. We enjoyed using the multitude of toys available as well. It looks well maintained and we left it the same beautiful way we found it. If we come down to this area again, this will definitely be the house we choose. You won't be disappointed. 😉

"We had such a wonderful stay here! The house was the perfect size for the 6 of us and was absolutely gorgeous. We made a lot of use of the pool and outside patio/bar area for dinners and relaxing. Grocery and convenience stores were a short trip away by car and we were able to get supplies to make nice meals at home. Sarasota proper is about 20-30 minutes away by car. We only got out to the beach one day due to the weather, but the drive was painless. Considering the weather and COVID numbers, we were so extremely grateful to have everything we could want and need at the house. We fixed up the pool sticks and left a few new pool toys for future guests :) We all have the post-vacay sads and are very much looking forward to returning one day.

"I can not say enough about how wonderful this home was for us. The pool and outdoor space was amazing! We swam every day and every night! We played cards and hung out on the patio every day and night! It is awesome there is a tv out there for sports , news or whatever you like to have on. The pool table was used every night. The living room was so comfy and homie! We watched movies in the evenings after a long day out in the sun. The beds were comfy and it was close to the beach and shops. I actually have nothing negative to say about this place. Whenever I had any questions before or during the stay Kristi or Nate responded right away! We had two families staying here with 6 kids total ( ages 16-22) Everyone raved about it being the most ideal place to stay and it really made our vacation what it was! We will definitely be booking this again!

"We looked at places that would keep our two families close but would also allow our pets. We had never rented a house with friends before, and this was definitely accommodating! It rained more than we would have liked, but the pool table and games were great to have for those times when we couldn’t go to the beach. Everyone enjoyed the pool. The dog enjoyed the yard and being off his leash. The location is near everything. We were pleased!

"Kristi was an excellent host, very professional and friendly The house is on an amazing fenced in lot with beautiful large lanai with pool and wet bar overlooking pond. "we gathered for Christmas week and needed space since covid would not allow us any outings. this home was perfect. the house is large vintage florida with just the right amount of updates, and above all, space. the extra large yard on the lake was clutch for the dogs and kids. it was too cold for the pool, though we did take a polar plunge and spent lots of time hanging out by it. only disappointment (very minor) was that there is no fire pit as shown in the photos. (upon review it is not listed in the amenities)would definitely rent again and recommend.

"We absolutely loved this space! Due to Covid we ended up having a smaller group than originally planned, so there was plenty of room, plus some, for the 6 of us. The outdoor pool area was the perfect space to hangout and relax. Everything was very clean when we arrived, even when we were allowed to check in early. The location was also perfect for the few things we wanted to do outside of hanging out at the pool. We would definitely recommend this space to a group wanting to get away.

"For the third consecutive year, we had an excellent stay at this property. The view, especially at sunset, is beautiful. The location is very convenient to the beaches, shopping, and parks. The house is spacious and well-appointed. Kristi is a great property manager, and was attentive to our needs. We plan to return next year as it allows us to escape the cold and snow of the north for a month.

"My family of 5 stayed at this location and i must say we enjoyed every minute of it. From the views, to the pool to the family entertaining areas, down to sleeping everything was great. Kristi was convient and great to work with. We will be back!

"We booked this trip a year in advance & were so looking forward to a great family vacation. To say that this property met our expectations is an understatement. It is beautiful!!!.. Everything we had hoped for---cozy, comfortable & extremely well maintained. Kristi & Nate were extremely responsive and did a great job making us feel right at home.. Any questions we had were answered immediately.....We had a beautiful, fun filled new years in sunshine & paradise.. We will most definately be booking again in the very near future!!
